I usually just take deep breaths but somet <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b></b></a> imes they are so bad that deep breathing doesnt work.<br />

<p>You have all the answers.  Your deep breathing is a really good technique, well done.  Another one is to focus when you feel them coming, you will know the signs.  Draw your focus inwards and tell yourself that every other time this has happened it has gone away and you have been fine and that you will be just fine this time too.  Keep gently repeating this to yourself (either in your mind or softly out loud).  Use this along with your breathing and it will pass.  Each time with practicing this regularly you will start to realise that it is not quite as frightening, let go of thinking something horrible is going to happen if you are not in control. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am a sophomore in High School and I&#8217;ve been having  <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/go-to"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b>panic attacks</b></a> . Last week I suddenly was shaking, couldn&#8217;t breathe, had to go to the bathroom, and dizzy. It was the first time that happened to me and I was really scared. I thought it was never going to happen again but on Monday I ran o <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b></b></a> ut of class and to the bathroom due to one and Tuesday I also experienced a panic attack and run to the bathroom again. Today I had two. They seem to be getting worse as time goes on. I&#8217;ve just told my dad about it today and only one of my friends knows about the attacks. What I need to know is:<br />
1. how can I deal with an attack when it happens again?<br />
2. How should I tell my teachers so I can leave the class when they happen?<br />
3. Where should I go during an attack?<br />
<br />I used to get a lot of  <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/go-to"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b>panic attacks</b></a>  and suffer from lots of anxiety, I travel a lot and hate flying however because of my business I have to to keep it growing. I have been using NLP techniques and meditation and it seems to work pretty well however I have been looking at this site and reading all the success stories of people curing their  <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/go-to"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b>panic attacks</b></a>  and anxiety naturally.</p>

However  <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/go-to"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b>panic attacks</b></a>  are a whole different thing an i wanna know how to deal with them without meds if they continue i will take meds because there too scary for me to deal with !!<br />
<br />In a very real sense, you are correct, panic is in our mind, but you miss the fact that it is also deep in our muscles in every cell of our bodies; and deeper yet in our own DNA and RNA imprints. Panic didn&#8217;t happen when the attack was triggered, panic happened in the past. Remind yourself that you survived the worst of it, panic attacks are a sign of healing.</p>
<p>Once you get used to  <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/go-to"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b>panic attacks</b></a>  and quit being scared of when the next one will happen, it gets a whole lot easier. Medicine can be long or short acting. You can get medicine to use &quot;as needed.&quot;</p>
<p>I dealt with them by repeating calmly the alphabet or the Lord&#8217;s Prayer or the words to a song over and over; anything that is very basic to you and easily remembered works.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From time to time, when I skip a meal I tend to get a little light headed, and some times this leads to a mild panic attack. How to make sure I stop having these, or what are simple ways of coping with them once they come on?</p>
<p>The simple answer, which I&#8217;m sure you already know, is to not skip a meal.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to realize your &#8220;triggers&#8221; so that you can stop the  <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/go-to"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b>panic attacks</b></a>  before they start.</p>
<p>Other than that, good exercises for  <a href="http://www.howtopreventpanicattacks.com/go-to"  rel="nofollow" target="_blank" ><b>panic attacks</b></a>  are deep breathing exercises.  If you feel that your panic attacks are getting to the point where they are getting in the way of your daily functioning, you should probably go in to see a psychologist.</p>

<br />Both medications can cause dizziness and forgetfulness.  I have taken both, still take the clonazepam as needed, and I&#8217;ve been taking it for years, and it still makes me sleepy.  But I&#8217;d take sleepy over a full blown panic attack any day.  You didn&#8217;t say how long you&#8217;ve been on them, and I know from experience, it usually takes about 4-6 weeks to get past most of the side effects.  If you are having real trouble, discuss it with your doctor, and perhaps he or she can prescribe something else that doesn&#8217;t have as many side effects. Every anti-depressant I&#8217;ve ever been on has a few side effects, so just pick your battles really, and at least give the medicine some time to do you good.  Take care.</p>
