Can someone have panic attack symptoms throughout the day.?

A person can have panic attack symptoms anytime. However as horrible as it feels at the time there are things you can do to help. Like taking deep breaths to help calm yourself. Think of something peaceful and relaxing. Take a short walk if you can. Talk to your doctor to get medical help for it if it is to the point where it interrupts your life.
Best of luck to you,
Shar

can someone have panic attack symptoms throughout the day.?

Friday Feb 19, 2010

Like headaches and blurred vision without having a complete attack. My daughter has these problems but sometimes not all the symptoms. She is 9.

panic attacks are sudden feelings of terror that strike without warning. These episodes can occur at any time, even during sleep. A person experiencing a panic attack may believe that he or she is having a heart attack or that death is imminent. The fear and terror that a person experiences during a panic attack are not in proportion to the true situation and may be unrelated to what is happening around them. Most people with panic attacks experience several of the following symptoms:
•"Racing" heart
•Feeling weak, faint, or dizzy
•Tingling or numbness in the hands and fingers
•Sense of terror, of impending doom or death
•Feeling sweaty or having chills
•Chest pains
•Breathing difficulties
•Feeling a loss of control

How are panic attack symptoms caused?

Saturday Jan 16, 2010

Panic attack symptoms are caused by a number of biological changes that occur during times of stress and anxiety. The human body is very resilient, even in times of anxiety we are strong, although we may not feel it. It’s also very true that some people might be scared that their heart will stop, or give up, through the constant racing, thumping or chest pain, this is simply not true; again these are very common symptoms of panic attacks .
No one has ever come to any harm as a result of anxiety or panic attacks ! Consider how hard athletes have to work in order to give their hearts the kind of workout your heart receives through anxiety; athletes hearts do not give up, do they? The heart is a muscle, raising the heart rate exercises it, making it fitter. You wouldn’t worry if your heart raced after running for the bus, so why worry about it when it happens during anxiety. panic attacks symptoms are harmless.
The downside of these panic attack symptoms is that your body will feel tired and shaky after they subside. You may feel as if you have run a marathon yourself. Feeling tired or achy is a necessary side effect, if you are aware that it may happen, when it does, you will know what it is and it won’t scare you as much!
Most anxious people complain of aching muscles and general fatigue, these are very common symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety. Muscle tension can cause pain or sensations of tightness anywhere in the body; most common in anxiety are pains in the chest, neck and shoulders. Tension in these places can be distressing; the tension in your chest may cause shortness of breath or rib pain, and it may make your chest or breasts tender or numb. Pains in the muscular tissues of the neck and back can cause the blood vessels and nerves to become restricted; this can cause headaches or migraine but can also cause the head to feel tender or painful.
It is possible for your face or scalp to feel numb or dead, this can affect sensations around your eye, in your cheek, face and jaw and can even affect the sensations in your mouth. This is caused by muscular tension causing restriction around the nerves and blood vessels in my neck. When I first experienced this, I was very scared as are many of my clients. AGAIN, another symptom of panic attacks and anxiety which causes the sufferer unnecessary worry but is completely harmless. Massaging the neck releases much of the tension and thus relieves the sensations; this works for most people.
This tension can cause feelings of numbness in the arms (usually the left), and also the legs. Don’t be alarmed if this happens to you.
You must understand that the nervous system is found in every inch of your body. There are nerve endings literally everywhere, around every organ, muscle and over every square millimeter of your skin so the symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety can be experienced anywhere! Tension can be responsible for many of the sensations experienced during anxiety.
Symptoms of panic attacks are EXACTLY what the name suggests, a symptom of the disorder not of another condition. These symptoms should be ignored, they have no importance or relevance to you, or your life.
Do not allow these unpleasant panic attack symptoms and sensations to get the better of you, after all that is all they are. The nerves tell the brain what it should be feeling under certain conditions and the brain responds. If tired and anxious nerve signals become confused, the brain may interpret the feeling of ice against the skin as burning, or the eyes might send a confused signal to the brain that makes you see a smooth surface ripple like water. Perceived sensations never have and never can, hurt any one. All symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety are caused by confused bodily sensations and nerve impulses, you may feel like the end is in sight, but it most certainly is not.

What are the comprehensive symptoms of a panic attack?

Tuesday Jan 5, 2010

I would like to know an array of symptoms of a panic attack. ive recently been diagnosed with it.

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, panic attacks , Depression, etc.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI – Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There’s this herb called "St John’s Wort" – it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John’s Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.
If you’re unable to take St John’s Wort, you can substitute it with Siberian Ginseng or Licorice Herb.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced… you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior – Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction… There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to….

What are some symptoms of a panic attack?

Wednesday Dec 16, 2009

I think I may have had a panic attack the day before yesterday. While in the shower, I became short of breath, felt as if I would pass out, and my heart was pounding. After getting out of the shower, drying, and dressing, I sat for a while (about 20 minutes) until the symptoms went away. Deep breathing helped.

Do you think I may have had a panic attack?

Hi
I’d like to give some solid advice to you about panic attacks . There are many dead ends you can go down tryin to deal with this problem. I have a history of them and now I have dealt with them

When a person has a panic attack they are frozen in fear. This is not cowardice. Panic attacks become a private hidden secret inner prison that destroys a person’s life and self-esteem. A person tries so hard to hide it even from him/herself. Panic attacks come on like a heart attack without a warning. It is a very similar feeling and hard to detect which makes it even scarier. The chest tightens, there is no way to handle the fear factor, the feeling that is paralyzing and comes from out of nowhere. Physical discomfort like a rapid heartbeat, sweating, trembling, hot flashes and trouble swallowing regularly accompany the attacks. Panic attacks usually peak within ten minutes but can last 30 minutes. Sometimes panic attacks can last as long as a day. Many feel very tired and worn out after the attack subsides.

Learning how to stop panic attacks is a priority for the majority of those who have ever experienced them. This is because panic attacks are emotionally, mentally and physically draining. Some have gone so far as to describe panic attacks as emotional nightmares.
Although a doctor is a good port of call first in case there is some health-cause, medications do not always alleviate the panic attacks, especially long term, and those prescribed with anti-psychotic medication are on the road to further problems resulting from the consistent use of chemicals that eventually have a permanent negative effect on the brain.

I am not a doctor or a professional person, but I am a person that lived with panic attacks and have overcome them. I’ve had to read information and misinformation from sources that proscribe to know about panic attacks but they don’t. People give so many varied points of view on how one should deal with them. Persons that have panic attacks not only have to deal with the panic attacks, they have to deal with people who have a lack of understanding and arguments at the same time.

There are now simple techniques you can learn to help you stop panic attacks quickly and easily and eventually cure panic attacks completely. These techniques have been tested and proven through research and actual application to stop panic attack quickly and effectively.

The deep breathing technique (also called diaphragmatic breathing) is a very important technique to learn if you what to quickly know of how to stop a panic attack. The challenge now is when you are experiencing anxiety, focusing on proper deep breathing can be very difficult task. The deep breathing technique requires you to breathe directly from your diaphragm and is the type of deep breathing you do during meditation. This technique is simple and anyone can practice it when you begin to feel the symptoms of panic attack.
I’ve included a link if anybody wants to really get to know more about techniques and how to stop the panic attacks completely and for good. I’ve been there so I wish all those on the search the best, and I offer lots of optimism because this affliction can be overcome.

Good Luck

Is there anyway you can stop panic attacks?

Sunday Dec 13, 2009

When im around alot of people i get bad panic attacks and i had to be taken out of school because of it and it’s kinda ruining my social life. help please?

if all else fails ie. relaxation techniques, etc then go to your doctor.
I used to have panic attacks and he prescribed a beta blocker for the times I was under big stress. I only used to take it at those times…and it worked. The more usual diazepam didn’t work in my case.
I had tried the lot, and nothing worked until that….and you know what? after a while I found I didn’t need it anyway.
A more natural thing to take is Kalms…they have natural ingredients and take the edge off stressy situations….try these first and see if they help….they do, but in a more gentle way

Good luck hun….but my advice is see your doctor – they’re the best ones to help you

how do i stop or control these panic attacks?

Sunday Nov 8, 2009

recently iv been having some pretty painful and dis-stressing panic/anxiety attacks, the last one was wednesday morning and i was took off to hospital. (they didn’t know what was going on because iv only just figured it out myself) i need to know how to deal with em as i can’t control em. they are pretty painful and worrying
thanks

Hey, I understand how you feel…

The uncomfortable symptoms like sweaty palms, "jelly" legs, extreme alertness, "impending doom" feeling and the fight-or-flight response.
I’ve been there. I’m an ex-victim. Sometimes the deep breathing or distraction techniques doesn’t work – a full-blown panic or anxiety attack happens later.
Sometimes you experience panic attack out of the blue and such.

Do NOT buy Panic Away, Linden Method, EasyCalm or the Panic Puzzle. They do NOT work – I’ve tried them and their solutions are similar – it DOESN’T WORK.
Medications do NOT work – I was under many antidepressants (Prozac, Lexapro, Paxil and Zoloft) and anti-anxiety medications (Ativan, Klonopin, and Xanax) but my condition was the same – no improvement at all.

The only program that really work is The Panic Attack Solution. It’s found by an ex-victim. You can check out his old blog in his official website to read up some useful tips.
But the package is the best – it teaches 17 powerful techniques and the real solution to panic attacks. I’ve bought it and it really helped me – it’s the BEST anti-anxiety package or book I’ve read.
His theory really makes sense and it works effectively!

You will learn why your panic attacks can happen without warning sometimes; why having stimulant causes panic attacks ; and many-many other useful tips!

Check out his official website:

How to stop panic attacks?

Wednesday Oct 28, 2009

I’ve had panic attacks every day for the past 2 months and I’m really on the point to go nuts. Has anyone managed to overcome panic attacks using a natural method?

I’m still on medication which seems to be non-effective for me. Please help !

Yes, learn to trust the LORD.
Cut out caffeine and sugar or at least cut down, get some exercise.
The first will help you stop worrying, the second will help with the heath part of it.
