Anxiety disorder patients are there any where and everywhere. And Americans too suffer from this di sorder. But we have hope now because this disorder can now be cured with different combination of therapy given together with medications. This makes the sufferer to live normally attending to all the everyday matters without the fear of having another episode and going through all the sweating and heart pounds,

Anxiety disorder patients worry even about a small issue and this worry all the time makes them sick .The may not have valid reasons for them to worry about but that doesn’t matter to them. They worry about all possible matters, they overestimate even a small problem and get upset and this results in fatigue, cold sweats, headache muscle strains, disturbed bowel movements and sleep disorders.

Research in this field indicates that a person’s family history or genetics have a role to play in the occurrence of anxiety disorders. If a close family member suffered from this disorder then it is very much likely that it would be passed on to the next generation. The surrounding environment also has an effect in contributing to the occurrence of an anxiety disorder.

A therapist or a physician can help you out from this problem. Recurrence and the complexity of this problem can be reduced by treating the patient with a combination of therapies and medicines. The patient undergoes a total clinical examination and their blood sugar thyroid cholesterol levels are monitored along with their obesity problems. These abnormalities are treated first before treating your anxiety disorder because all these above said complications also aggravate this problem. Having a balanced diet, proper exercise, and healthy sleeping patterns will help you to lower the intensity of this disorder.

Medicines with very little side effects are given to these patients, Normally the effect of medicine and therapy does not show immediate results and it takes some time and so the patient has to co-operate and wait patiently to get the desired results. All the medications and the therapy should be taken systematically to get the results that we wanted.

The mode of treatment depends upon certain factors like the severe ness, duration and the rate of occurrence of the attacks. Medicines and therapies are mixed together and given to the patients by various other medical specialists. Medicines that bring down your depression along with tranquilizers are given to reduce the stress levels and relax you. Benzodiazepines drugs are used to treat this disorder.

Cognitive therapies which find out the triggers that causes the attack through various sitting with the patients helps in the healing process. Breathing exercises are done to make the person relax and a feedback is got from the patient himself to know the results better.

There are certain measures which you could incorporate in your daily life to lower the frequencies of anxiety attacks. These are general methods which can be easily adapted by everyone. Do reduce the intake of sugar, caffeinated drinks, cola and nicotine. You can also try naturopathy or alternative medicine but make sure that they are certified and have approvals from health authorities

Having a proper workout pattern will help you to bring down the stress levels and lower the occurrence of anxiety attacks. An anxiety disorder patient can lead a normal life with the help of advanced theory like hypnosis and behavioral cognitive theory and this is a medical break through.

There are so many people worldwide who are affected by this attack and approximately the ratio of the affected people is !:75.So have a through understanding about this disorder so that you can interact better with the person who is affected. Here are a few hints that will make you aware of it.

•	Grounds for this disorder –Doctors say that these attacks are caused due to some inherited factors that are prevalent in the family. An unexpected situation in your life like having to lose a loved one can be a trigger for these attacks. The reasons might be biological physical and psychological Some food, beverage sand even medicines also can act as a stimulant and can trigger an attack

•	What happens to a person when it attacks? –when it occurs, a person would feel a fear that almost paralyzes them. They can experience either hot flashes or sudden chills which cause uncontrollable shaking. Sweating and chest pains are possible too. This can make the breathing difficult for the person. The attack occurs unannounced and nothing and no one stop it. The person’s condition during an attack –A panic attack can immobilize a person and can make him shiver and tremble and also perspire a lot. The patient may even have discomfort in chest and have breathing problems. This attack mostly comes in an unexpected way.

Normally the fear that the patient has got nothing to do with the actual attack and this attack normally last only for few minutes Our body’s natural mechanism fights and stops these attacks but there is always a possibility for reoccurrence.

•	Ways to identify an attack — The person might have some indicators before an attack. But only a clinical person can diagnosis it and for it sometimes you need to go to different doctors before you come in to conclusion. This can avoid unnecessary misconceptions. Visit a doctor immediately if you have had repeated attacks and if you fear of getting another one soon.

•	Treatment is a must – These disorders if not treated in time will lead to phobia and this may even aggravate in to an agoraphobia where a person shuns away from all public activity and remains indoors fearing for his disorder. This may take atoll on this social life and some will even cease to go for their jobs which will handicap them financially. All these will add on to their mental stress and thy will resort to unwanted measures like suicide of become alcohol addicts. This will spoil their health and their family

•	Treating panic Attacks—There are various treatments available in both formal and in informal medicine Other methods include cognitive and behavioral therapy which deals with the underlying cause of this disorder. Relaxing methods are also there which can be followed and for it you need to sit with a therapist and find about it

•	Normal Life for Panic disorder patients – It is definitely possible with all the today’s available treatments. There are so many options available for you to choose and you can get treated fully from that and can lead a normal life, but always know the triggers and get treated to
alleviate the effect of these factors

Panic Disorder should in no way come in the path of living a normal life. If you are fortunate enough by not getting affected understand the patient who suffers better and always render a helping hand for them.

•	Psycholoical therapies – These are best for people who have other medical complications like BP, Blood sugar and for people who are pregnant. This is the safest known method among all and this method focuses on the thought process of the patient and changes his outlook and makes it positive and this cognitive therapy. Another therapy which is called behavior therapy concentrates on the symptoms experienced by the patient, there are patients who are rather more scared of the initiators than the actual attack.

Before you can understand what causes anxiety attacks, you first have to understand that there are a lot of different reasons why a person might get an anxiety disorder. One person’s trigger might not do anything to another person, but there are a few things that have been proven to increase the odds of anxiety attacks. Researchers have uncovered a few specific things that can increase anxiety conditions ranging from biological to life experiences.

First, some people just have anxiety and panic programmed into their genetics. There is mounting evidence that shows that your heredity and the environment you were raised in can lead to panic and anxiety attacks, but this is no excuse to stop looking for freedom. There are studies that conclude that anxiety episodes can run in families. When one identical twin acquires a panic disorder, the other twin tends to run a greater risk of also ending up with a panic disorder. Non-identical twins share a much weaker link, indicating that genetics does play a role. There is also evidence that suggests that anxiety can be a learned behavior as well that we take up from our parents.

Some times anxiety is the result of personality. Some personality types have a higher inclination of acquiring anxiety disorders. When someone suffers from low self-confidence they might tend to have more anxiety attacks than a person with high self-confidence. If you have not picked up effective ways of coping with stress from day to day life you also may have more frequent anxiety attacks. Type “A” personalities also seem to experience panic attacks and nervous breakdowns more frequently when their careful goals fail to pan out. We can adjust these personality faults by trading our beliefs for more flexible ones.

Things that happen in our lives can also result in anxiety attacks. When sustained for a long time, violent and abusive events tend to influence a person’s likelihood of experiencing panic attacks . Therapy has been proven to help people cope with challenging life occurrences that have left them feeling anxious and panicked.

Some medical conditions are also associated with increased levels of anxiety. Increased amounts of anxiety have been seem in cases of diabetes, high blood pressure, and overactive thyroid glands. Sometimes just the overwhelm of dealing with a serious condition can aggravate your anxiety.

This brief introduction to the causes of anxiety attacks has hopefully helped you get a better understanding of some of the many reasons a person might experience an anxiety attack. With a bit of understanding I hope that you can start on the road to finding relief from anxiety and panic episodes.

Stress has become so commonplace that most of us don’t even think about it on a day-to-day basis. Our society encourages more and more stress for greater and greater success but the ravages of prolonged excess stress can change the b ody chemistry in many ways such as over-producing a hormone called cortisol. Excess cortisol causes many complications in the body over time, one of which is excessive weight gain. Cortisol and weight gain as well as difficulties with weight loss are directly related to excess stress. Stress management can be accomplished in many ways. Meditation, prayer, and other forms of relaxation are often helpful in stress management. The effects of excess stress on the body can be wide ranging. Most existing health challenges are made worse by excess stress. Nutrition can also come to the rescue in helping to physically manage stress. Stress management with nutrition would include the B complex vitamins, especially pantothenic acid. Pantothenic acid directly supports the adrenal glands, helping to prevent their exhaustion. Herbal extracts are also helpful and should be including in any stress supplement formula. Here at The Institute, we have developed a stress supplement that has proven to be of great help to many thousands of people. This formula helps control cortisol levels, aiding in weight loss, this formula has also helped many people reduce or eliminate their dependency on various drugs. The effects of stress can be greatly reduced through the use of our multi-faceted stress supplement. The role of nutrition and stress is a strong one and nutrition should always be considered as part of an overall stress management program. When we experience a stressful moment, our bodies go into what is often called the ‘fight or flight’ syndrome. This is a cycle of biochemical reactions that are designed to prepare the body and brain to either fight or defend itself or to run for safety. In either case, the body needs to be able to perform at its peak if a positive outcome to be expected. The problem is that when the human body first developed these physiological reactions to a stressful or dangerous situation, these dangers were frequent and all too real. Today, in our society, most of the physical dangers have been eliminated. The stressors of today are emotional or mental as opposed to physical. In spite of these differences, the reaction to these stressful situations produces the same results and over time can lead to anxiety, panic attacks and depression. The link between stress and depression is clear and our goal should be to learn to manage stress emotionally as well as bio-chemically through nutrition, before it reaches dangerous levels. Stress can come from many sources such as job stress, student stress, financial or economic stress, lack of sleep or rest and therefore stress reduction through proven stress management techniques becomes essential. Since much of the stress in our lives today doesn’t really produce a need for physical response, the stress response cycle often fires at the ‘false alarm’. Since we don’t react physically, in most cases to stressors, the powerful chemicals secreted by the adrenal glands exercise a dramatic effect on the entire body. When these chemicals are not used as in physical action, they can have detrimental effects on the body, over time exhausting the adrenal glands. The adrenal glands produce a variety of hormones, the most common of which are the stress hormones. Over time, the adrenal glands can become exhausted and lose their ability to properly regulate hormone production. The result of excess stress and adrenal exhaustion is anxiety, depression and especially panic attacks. As the adrenal glands continue to be over-worked, they increase the production of many hormones. One of those hormones is cortisol. Others are the adrenalin group, which is responsible for the anxiety and eventual depression associated with prolonged stress. The best way to deal with adrenal exhaustion is with specific dietary supplements that provide both support and nourishment to these over-worked glands. Nutrients such as the B complex, glandular extracts, vitamin C and key trace minerals are very helpful when provided in the right ratios to each other. In combination, they can support both the central nervous system and the adrenal glands. Once this has been accomplished, the adrenal glands stop over-producing powerful stress hormones and the anxiety and depression associated with un-manageable stress subsides. The formula we use with our clients at our Centers is called Stress-Eze. Our stress supplement is available from Phoenix Nutritionals. 1-800-440-2390
